Palm Sunday—March 24—Service: 10:45 AM
Marks the beginning of Holy Week and signifies Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. This service will include the Blessing of the Palms and a procession by the congregation into the church.
Holy Wednesday—March 27th—Service: 11 AM
Provides additional worship opportunity and preparation for the triduum of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil.
Maundy Thursday—March 28th—Service: 6:30 PM
Focuses upon the Lord’s agony in the Garden of Gethsemane and His institution of the “Last Supper”. Foot Washing. There will be a stripping of the altar at this service and also the all night Watch.
Good Friday—March 29th—Service: 12 Noon
Commemorates the imprisonment, trial and death by crucifixion of Jesus and the hour He hung on the Cross. This service is known as the Liturgy of the Cross.
The Great Vigil of Easter—March 30th—Service: 8:00 PM
The most ancient Easter service in the Christian Church. At this meaningful and impressive service attendees gather in darkness, light the new fire, and celebrate the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies in the resurrection of Christ. This is a candlelight service manifesting Christ as the Light coming into a world of darkness. A rare service not to be missed.
Easter Sunday—March 31st—Service: 10:45 AM
The Day of Resurrection. There will be a traditional Easter service to include the children’s flowering of the cross, followed by an Easter Luncheon.
